Appreciation and Gratitude for America's Truck Drivers

The U.S. is made up of 3.5 million people working tirelessly to ensure goods are delivered safely, securely and on time, according to the American Trucking Associations (ATA). Join MHC as we continue to show our support this week for truck drivers.

This year’s National Truck Driver Appreciation Week comes at a time when many people have been finding ways to show their gratitude for the needed resources drivers have kept moving throughout our communities. Now, as many areas began to reopen or progress to opening, drivers continue to answer the call.

Truckers are the backbone of the logistics infrastructure, keeping the economy moving by transporting needed supplies to each corner of the U.S. In 2019, the trucking industry transported 11.84 billion tons of freight, which makes up 80.4% of the nation’s freight bill according to the ATA. The probability is high that at some point your goods were hauled by truck.

The ATA reported that 1 in every 16 people working in the United States is a trucker. Is there someone you can reach out to and show your appreciation?  For the long hours spent, packages delivered, inclement weather faced, and commitment to show up each day, MHC would like to say thank you. Drivers, your dedication and hard work have not gone unseen.

Today and every day, our hats are off to you.
