ICON 900 Kenworth W900L Truck

LEAWOOD, Kan., April 2, 2015 – Murphy-Hoffman Company (MHC) will receive the first 50 limited edition Kenworth ICON 900 trucks, which are now available for pre-order.

“MHC is proud to offer our customers the first 50 trucks of the ICON 900 package,” Vice President of New Truck Sales Jared White said. “These high image trucks will interest everyone from owner-operators to the fleet managers that may use these as driver reward trucks. The ICON 900 is a guaranteed head-turner, giving drivers the ability to show off their sense of pride when they’re out on the road.”

Kenworth generated buzz when it first announced the production of its limited edition ICON 900s at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky. The ICON 900s are standing long and tall with the classic styling of the W900Ls.

“We chose to build our trucks with specs around features that have proven to be successful among our customers,” White said. “MHC’s ICON 900s are available with 72-inch flat top or 86-inch studio configurations. All will have 550-hp Cummins ISX15 engines and 18-speed transmissions.”

Since 1967, the W900 has been one of Kenworth’s most popular models among owner-operators, and combine ready-for-anything functionality with beautiful aesthetic design. In 1990, Kenworth also brought to market the W900L, a 130” BBC, long-nose conventional with an extended hood. It soon became one of Kenworth’s most popular models among owner-operators.

The new ICON 900 features many stainless steel accessories and a chrome hood badge that is one-of-a-kind. MHC offers these trucks in a variety of color choices, including Galaxy Blue, Viper Red and Speed Orange. Other features include leather seats, sofa bed, stainless steel fender guards, upgraded headlights, headlamp covers, LED lighting, under door panels and sleeper panels, grille closeout panel, and a 13-inch drop visor.

The first 50 trucks off the assembly line are available throughout MHC’s 13-state dealership network. Customers can visit MHC.com to learn more about this iconic limited edition truck and view additional photos.
