KIRKLAND, Wash., June 30, 2015 – Kenworth TruckTech+ is now in production on new Class 8 trucks spec'd with the PACCAR MX-13 engine.
TruckTech+ enhances vehicle diagnostics by providing information on PACCAR MX-13 engine health to fleet managers and truck dealers to help optimize uptime and productivity. The system diagnoses the problem, and provides the recommended solution to the driver and fleet manager. TruckTech+ notifications may include:
“TruckTech+ analysis helps fleets and truck operators to maximize uptime and efficiency,” said Jason Skoog, Kenworth assistant general manager for sales and marketing. “Timely information enables customers to decide more quickly whether the truck stays on the road or heads to the shop where the servicing dealer has the diagnosis and is ready to remedy the problem.”
Every new Class 8 truck equipped with a PACCAR MX-13 engine comes with a complimentary subscription to TruckTech+, as long as the truck is under the 2-year standard warranty. The subscription is also complimentary for customers purchasing extended warranty. After the warranty period, Kenworth’s remote diagnostics tool can be maintained by subscription.
