Kenworth recently announced that starting in 2018, the on-highway T680 truck’s standard spec will include the 12-speed PACCAR automated transmission. This completes the Kenworth T680’s transition to the PACCAR Powertrain, including a PACCAR engine, transmission and tandem rear axle to maximize efficiency and driveability.
What does this mean for T680 drivers?
The integration of the PACCAR transmission with the MX-13 engine and tandem rear axles provides new levels of fuel economy and weight savings performance. Other benefits include:

The PACCAR transmission is ideal for linehaul and regional haul applications up to 110,000 lbs. gross vehicle weight. It was specifically engineered to work with the MX-13 engine, which is available with ratings up to 510 hp and 1,850 lb.-ft of torque.
