I started the company in 1983. The company initially developed two computerized referral systems for outpatient and inpatient psychiatric referrals. In 1990 we began marketing software to psychiatrists.
We regularly have a booth at the American Psychiatric Association annual meeting.
I divide
my time between private practice and the company. The Easy Psychiatric Record
Keeper program developed from a program I first created for use with my own
patients. I am particularly interested in developing programs which help
psychiatrists make good clinical decisions. This includes: treatment
algorithms, critical pathways, quality improvement efforts and smart charting
tools that will help people remember important things as they provide care.
In my practice I am particularly interested in working with patients with major psychotic illnesses. I am on the attending staff of McLean Hospital and through that have an appointment at Harvard Medical School.
Despite the fantasies of many, hassles with managed care companies did not drive me to this venture in computing - I was thoroughly hooked on it before managed care arrived!
I welcome new ideas, recommendations and ideas for collaboration. Along this line, do not miss our request for reviews and comments about our programs which appears in the News section.
We are located at 21 Blossom St. Lexington, MA 02421.
